Route N.6: The old Railway

Km: Several options, from Chiaramonte to Pantalica about 40 km, plus the way in the nature reserve which is 13 km long.

Interest: Landscape, naturalistic, archaeological, historical.

Description: The old railway, which went from Ragusa to Siracusa with a stop in Vizzini, is one of the most amazing mountain bike route in the Hyblaean area.
There's a way which goes from Chiaramonte Gulfi to the nature reserve of Pantalica, rich in different landscapes: old galleries, bridges, mountains and hills (Giarratana), the valley of Anapo.
This route is good for all kinds of bikers, because everyone can choose the starting point, the kilometraggio, there are slight slopes and it's possible to stop whenever you like in order to visit interesting places, such as the Greek theatre in Palazzolo Acreide, a Unesco heritage.
